Film synopsis

A murder trial has upset the quiet community of San Piedro, and now this tranquil village has become the center of controversy. For Ishmael Chambers (Ethan Hawke), a local reporter, the trial strikes a deep emotional chord when he finds his ex-lover is linked to the case. As he investigates the killing, he uncovers some startling clues that lead him to a shocking discovery.

Lloyd A. Silverman

A maverick marketing executive turned film producer, Lloyd A. Silverman gained a reputation early on for taking creative risks working for Phil Dusenberry at BBDO, New York. In addition to Snow Falling on Cedars, his films include Shattered Image, A Girl, 3 Guys and a Gun, Tidal Wave and 12. In 2005 Silverman assisted the U.S. Air Force in the redesign of strategic communications at the Pentagon. In 2006 he established Comunic8 as a boutique strategic communications consultancy. Clients included: the U.S. Air Force, Yahoo, Conoco Phillips, Estee Lauder, Disney, Lockheed Martin and Y&R. As educator and guest speaker Silverman has spoken on content creation and delivery at The White House; Pentagon; Weidenbaum School of Public Policy, Economics and Government; Harvard University; Yale University; American Film Institute and New York University. From 2000 until 2002 Silverman was visiting lecturer in the department of Film and Media Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. In 2010 he joined Y&R West Coast to provide leadership for global clients in brand integration and content creation across platforms.
