Alumnus Patrick O’Sullivan returned to the city this month with a new muse that National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered” calls his labor of love. “All About Jack: The Impersonators of Jack Nicholson” is based on his favorite actor.
In “All About Jack”, eight Jack Nicholsons and one vivacious vixen take to the stage in the show’s strange brew of career tribute, sketches, audience participation, improvisation and multimedia. The troupe of young and old Nicholsons also bring to life Marlon Brando, Kobe Bryant, Fidel Castro and others, on a wild, easy ride through the life and times of Hollywood’s legendary star personality. Fellow alum Amy Kelly also stars in “All About Jack.”
Last year O’Sullivan (B.A., Drama, ’99) brought his unique comedy show “All About Walken: The Impersonators of Christopher Walken” to The Clubhouse in San Francisco with rousing success. O’Sullivan began “All About Walken” while attending SF State. It has run in Los Angeles since 2006, recently as the headliner at The Improv.
